Small pleasures and something to look forward to
Think about the last week. Was there one thing in it you were looking forward to? Something small, like a coffee in the garden or a call with a friend, rather than a holiday or a milestone. For a lot of us the answer is no. We stopped planning small things because they did not seem worth planning, and looking forward to something is half of what makes it feel good.
The Builder asks you ten questions that bring those small things out of your head and onto a list. Each question points at something you already know you like and have stopped making room for.
How to use it
- Answer the questions that fit and skip the ones that do not. You do not need all ten.
- Keep your answers small. A slow breakfast counts. So does a walk with no destination.
- Add anything else in the box under your list. There is no limit.
- Save your list to your dashboard or download the PDF, then choose one item and put it in your diary for this week.
How it helps
A list like this gives you something small to look forward to on an ordinary Tuesday. It also shows you what you keep putting off, which is useful to see written down in your own words.
